2007 Audi A3 2.0T Review
by David

I love this Car

I love this car. It is a hoot to drive, gets reasonable gas mileage and accomplished what I need it do. Styling is great and it has that solid german feel whan I am behind the wheel, It is a lot of fun to drive on both short and long trips

Avg. Dealer Rating: (5 reviews) "A terrible used car buying experience. The only reason I'm giving them two stars and not one is because of Darryl. He was professional and kind. He helped rectify our situation quickly and with the utmost respect. Regarding our used car salesman, Bob... ugh. What can I say... a half truth telling, fast talker who is your quintessential used car salesman. Before I even got to the dealership, he asked me to fill out a credit report form. WHY? I was paying cash!!! He gave me some confusing answer about some terrorist law. I said, "hmmm, you mean the Patriot Act, Bob?" He says "oh, yes, that's it". First of all there is nothing in the Patriot Act that says they need to run a credit report on every single customer. The dealership merely has to file a 8300 form to the government when dealing with large cash amounts. I refused the credit report. You should too. It was my first time buying a used car. I had a lot of questions, Bob glossed over them, never had any REAL answers, and pushed on. When I asked Bob, if the previous owner was a heavy smoker (since the car smelled like the inside of a full ashtray), Bob replied, "no! no! That is the smell of the cleaner our detail department uses." Seriously? Any idiot knows it was cigarette smoke, just be honest, Bob! I know... I'm probably asking a lot but please... that one was a test, a lob ball, a no brainer if you will. Needless to say, against my gut feeling, I purchased the car for my son. I had the car checked out by my own mechanic and was told to return the car (crappy "new" paint job, replaced body panels, hiding God knows what). I should have gone with my gut which was, if this guy was lying about the cigarette stench, he was probably lying about SOOOO much more. Darryl and the finance guy, I'm sorry I forgot his name. Helped with the return of the car. Like I said earlier. They were wonderful. I did find another car for my son. It's clean, smells like a well taken care of car should smell, and we are happy. There was no pushing, there was no fast talking. The car sold itself. Which is how it should be. A salesperson should help facilitate a good transaction. Not push a bad one. We're happy now thanks to another dealership."
