We called about the black 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis LS listed on their website, as well as several other sites which all led back to Auburn Way Motors on 4-1-12, to no avail . We couldn't get any answer the day before either, even though we called during open hours; the phone just rang & rang. No answering machine (tacky). Leticia, the morning of 4-1-12, assured us the car was still on the lot, via email, & we set a 12 noon time to test drive. We got there 5 minutes b4 opening, perused the lot, but didn't see this car anywhere. Maurice met us as we got out of our clean ‘97 Chrysler Concorde LXI. He told us, as he pointed in a vague direction, “Oh yeah…the car is back there (again didn't see the advertised car); let me get it for you." He left us standing in the wind & cold for about a minute, then sauntered back to us, pointed to silver Buick LeSabre & said "There it is." We said "That's not the Marquis." He said "Oh...you said Marquis." Hmmmmm...I guess they do sound alike. My partner told Maurice that Leticia assured us the car was on the lot, to which he replied "Leticia's not even here yet." Well...we can email from phones in 2012, which is how she answered our email. As we turned to go, Maurice said "Now, hold on..." (bait & switch on 2 dumb women) to our backs as we walked away, telling him we wanted the Marquis. We were there less than 5 minutes. Leticia told us via email (from her phone) that "I'm sure Maurice was only trying to show you the closest thing to the Marquis". Based on the dumb-ass stunt he tried to pull, I'd say he knew exactly what he was doing, which was bait & switch. I was hoping this wouldn't be the treatment we'd get, but I was wrong. I wouldn't set foot on this lot even if they did have the car."
