Car was extreamly good on gas, best handling car I owned due to it's ride hieght, The motor was beat on the car when I bought it so I can't say much, It's very attractive and the Interior space is actually worse than it''s predecessor, atleast the back seat is, the trunk space is better, the wheel base is a little wider. Overall the car is a good daily driver, but the suspension and the motor lacked in the durability.

Pros: Apperance and handling
Cons: Weak wheel bearings, weak motor, door handles are chinzy

After owning a Mustang GT and a Probe GTS, the Mitsubishi Eclipse GS (non-turbo FWD Automatic trans) feels like it's powered by a hamster on a wheel.  A tired old hamster on a very heavy wheel.  Only at full throttle does the Chrysler 2.0L feel like it has some motivation to move the speedometer needle.  The engine is also relatively noisy and shakes a lot, compared to the Probe's V6, though many 4-cylinders do.  I primarily drive this car to school, and in 100% city driving, this car struggles to get much better fuel economy than my 5.0L Mustang did.  Although this car has the alloy wheels and rear disc brakes absent on the RS model, it still has a stiff brake pedal and stopping power is underwhelming.  The interior looks and feels very cheap.  The plastic door sill has a very uncomfortable armrest that is too low for my taste, and all the panels squeak and rattle with the shaking of the engine.  The seats are not comfortable to sit in for any length of time, either.  On the plus side I do like the way the car looks from the outside.  The paint is a very nice shade of red, although it's collected a fair number of scratches over the years.  The 16" 5-spoke wheels look nice too.  The tinted windows help to keep the Florida sun out at least a little bit, and the power sunroof is nice (at least it has a shade).

Pros: Looks good on the outside, Nice color, decent luggage space.
Cons: No power, slow-shifting ATX, poor braking, cheap interior, uncomfortbale seats, don't try to sit in the back.

for an eclipse it has horible acceleration. Those of you that know a lil about cars might know that in the late ninties mitsubishi had bad crank walk problems with the 2.0 engine luckly i have not had that problem yet but i am having problems with the trans. but over all it woul be a great car for a non car person

Pros: it is a stick (5 speed)
Cons: it does not have a turbo so it is slow   tops out around 120 but i would not know that lol

I need to fully rebuild the car so I can like it better than it is. It is a working progress. Had to replace the engine on it due to me ragginf it out, but other than that it was a fun car to drive and got me around alot.

Pros: Nothing right now
Cons: Slow, no sound system, no upgrades, etc

I like this car alot, but one thing that I have noticed is the reliability. No problems with the engine/transmission what-so-ever but the battery is not so reliable. It's probably because my subwoofers draw so much power that it kills my battery. The car is lowered so much that it scrapes on everything and I had to spend $1200 getting new suspension in the front. The oil filter sits extremely low due to an adapter put on by the previous owners for an aftermarket oil pressure gauge, and the oil filter would scrape and get holes in it. That problem is fixed now. The car is great all around but a few minor problems lead me to believe that a Honda would be a better option. I always regret getting rid of my Ford Focus.

Pros: Looks great. Drives and handles corners excellent, but I'm sure any car that is lowered would do the same. Engine is very strong and reliable.
Cons: Too low, it limits where I can drive....even through town. Speed bumps are hell.
