 This is a wonder vehicle. It has served me well over the years. It still gets great gas milage (32-36 mpg) after 6 years. Only a few blemishes in the paint from rock chips over time. I have only had to complete the normal maintance schedule on it. Besides new tires and a battery. The only downside is it is not a family car. With two children now it is not feasible for two children in car seats. In the process of search for a new vehcile for this reason. However I still plan to keep the civic because of its realiabilty.

Cons:
Excellenty for someone single, not for someone with children

 I absolutely love my car, a Honda civic is the ideal first car, it has just enough speed/acceleration to be fun, but is also great on gas mileage :). i would most definitely recommend this car to anyone looking for one

Very dependable, some radiator and ignition issues. Not a bad car, but I think it's not a smooth body style and highway driving seems a little scary in such a small car because it bounces constantly! AWESOME gas mileage! Interior appearance is lacking for sure, but at least the seats are comfortable, I owned the first year of this generation brand new as well and it was a 2 door.
Pros:
Fuel effeciency is all here!
Cons:
Limited power and leg room for peopel over 6' (me)

Great Car but i ran it into the ground. I recently replaced 2 bushings in the front suspension and i replace all of the brake pads. That was about 1 grand and it also needs either a repair or an all together new transmission. If i get it fixed i will probably hunt around for a rebuilt transmission for cheap. However, what is probably going to happen is im going to sell it soon and my dad may or my not give me his VW Passat.
Pros:
Good car, Very reliable if you take care of it.
Cons:
5 speed manual doesn't hold up too well for someone who pushes the car to the limit.

I absolutely love everything about my car!!! It has a manual transmission which makes it fun to drive. It is a very pretty dark green color with a tan interior which is a beautiful combination. It is very reliable as Hondas are known for, and it's great on gas. Even with the high gas prices, I can fill up for about $40 and it will last me a while. My 4-cylinder Odyssey costs way more than that to operate. I have been nothing short of highly satisfied with this car. My boyfriend even wants to buy one now!!!

AWESOME FIRST CAR! Engine wall is thin so it sounds awesome when accelerating fast : ) Very light and handles well. Gets very good gas mileage and has an inline 4, so its got some kick. Silver paint isn't exactly eye catching but it doesnt look terrible. Bought it for 9k with a little help from my parents with only 30k miles on it, so I got a pretty good deal!

Want more horsepower and it needs a ground effects package

reliable, good gas mileage even with all the upgrades, nice sound, good handling, nice steering response, good speed, nice top speed (148 mph), maintenance free for the most part , etc..

mmm, not too much except they are so common.

1.7L 2002 Honda Civic EX, has about 140 horsepower. It has a nice moonroof, power windows/locks. It was pretty quick for 140 horsepower.
Pros:
Safe, Awesome Gasmileage, quick, and comfortable
Cons:
it was an automatic, other than that i love this car.
