2002 Honda Civic EX Reviews

This is a wonder vehicle.  It has served me well over the years.  It still gets great gas milage (32-36 mpg) after 6 years.  Only a few blemishes in the paint from rock chips over time.  I have only had to complete the normal maintance schedule on it.  Besides new tires and a battery.  The only downside is it is not a family car.  With two children now it is not feasible for two children in car seats.  In the process of search for a new vehcile for this reason. However I still plan to keep the civic because of its realiabilty.

Very dependable, some radiator and ignition issues.  Not a bad car, but I think it's not a smooth body style and highway driving seems a little scary in such a small car because it bounces constantly!  AWESOME gas mileage!  Interior appearance is lacking for sure, but at least the seats are comfortable, I owned the first year of this generation brand new as well and it was a 2 door.

Performance - Stock with blue lights and a 5spd
manual transmission and it was slow.
Build quality - It is a Honda so it was reliable.
Appearance - It was stock.
Cost of Ownership - gas was cheap ($10 to fill full
tank back then)
Fun Factor - it was a stick shift and I drove it like I
stole it.

AWESOME FIRST CAR! Engine wall is  thin so it sounds awesome when accelerating fast : ) Very light and handles well. Gets very good gas mileage and has an inline 4, so its got some kick. Silver paint isn't exactly eye catching but it doesnt look terrible. Bought it for 9k with a little help from my parents with only 30k miles on it, so I got a pretty good deal!

Injen cold air intake, AEM pulleys, perf. throttle body, throttle body spacer, better spark plugs, perf. headers, hi-flow cat, had GReddy EVO2 exhaust but it was so big and so loud i got sick of it and took it off and put on a Flowmaster exhaust, front and back sway bars, enkei rims, Fidanza lightweight flywheel, Exedy Racing clutch, DC short shifter, Polk Component system (2), Alpine headunit, n some other stuff ...
