I love this car and it was so hard to find. I rated it ugly because it's not meant to be a pretty car but that's what I love about it.

It's reliable and the one time there was something wrong the little lights told me exactly what the trouble was.

It's fast too and I actually got a speeding ticket within the first month I got it.

It's also so roomy and perfect for camping or long trips. We always have a cooler packed with all our goodies for road trips and the adjusting seats mean you can load anything and everything.

The pictures and advertisements about this vehicle don't like and don't do it justice. It's like a cute lil pick-up with more room and a cover. It's also large enogh to be an SUV but compact enough to fit in any parking space. Everyone is always surprised at how roomy it is.

Pros — Roomy, Great Gas Mileage, Unique Look
Cons — I'm yet to find one thing wrong

Although a bit pricy off the lot, these vehicles were built for cruising the road! It handles like a dream! It seems velcro'ed to the road in the corners. The amount of leg room in this thing rivals the outdoors. With the built-in subwoofer and AUX input, you can cruise with your iPod from one coast to the other. On the autobahn, it handles very good! I was impressed with its reliability! At higher speeds you will notice some wind noise because of the clamshell doors, but its not that bad. The only thing that I would change is push button 4WD selector. The whole water proof interior is an especially nice addition. This car is just plain fun to drive! It has an awsome turning radius and I have had a number of comments on it by the local germans. They seem to just love the design!

Pros — Comfortable on or off road and leg room
Cons — Fuel capasity and wind noise.

Has everything you want for the money, and it's rather comfortable.

Pros — AWD, gas is good, and it's easy to maintain with all plastic flooring.
Cons — The women won't even honk.

It would tear me to pieces for days if i had to decide whether or not to buy one of these. I test drove one from 2003 with only 40k miles on it, which for a Honda means that it still has years of life left on it. First walking around the car and looking at all its features, its definitely a cool car and theres no doubt about. Its geared towards young males in college who are the adventurist type, and the versatility of the vehicle is amazing, from seat configurations and making use of space properly to the amount of kit you get with the car standard. How the car looks inside and out is nothing short of perfect for the market that they designed this for, but there's only one problem, how it drives.
Sadly, its not good. The steering was very heavy, the driving position was awkward, and the window sill was much too high, making me feel enclosed. I'm not short, at 5'8" i think I'm average height, but I felt like I could not get comfortably situated in the car. Acceleration is just not there, the engine is not perky enough and i hate to think of what noise it would make towing something behind you. The brakes might as well be snapple caps because they're just not big enough. This car is heavy, and I'd feel much more comfortable with a bigger break set-up. The road noise is low enough, and everything else about the drive is fine. I was easily able to adjust the radio and climate control without any training or manuals, and even though my driving position was a little skewed, the seats were still noticeably comfortable.

Would I buy one? yes, but not as an everyday car, because i just wouldn't be able to bear it. As a second utility vehicle for going on camping trips, hauling stuff home from home depot, definitely. Honda gets an A+ for execution and making a car that can handle anything, now just make the drive lively enough to not make me feel as bored as i get mowing the lawn.

Pros — versatility, durable interior, very low split folding gate rocks for loading cargo and sitting down.
Cons — Acceleration, braking, steering, body roll

A fantastic suv incorparating honda's clever real time all wheel drive system

Pros — very reliable
Cons — could be better on fuel but the fact that the car is so versatile makes up for it

At first glance this appears to be a car for the young, but I say it is a car for the yound at heart.  The element is spacious, easy to clean and drives great.  I love this car.  My even said to me it is growing on me....  It is a must have expecially is you are driving the kids back and forth from soccer, baseball and football practice.  Or it is a great car to take to the beach...
