2004 Honda Accord EX V6 Reviews
| “Honda Accord V6” Handles great, good turning radius for a larger car. Good responsiveness and great pick-up. This was my first Hoonda but I am sold now. Love the color too. Ocean blue.
Pros —
pick up
Cons —
gas mileage because of the V6

| “Best Navigation System Available” Great car, more than enough power to spin the front wheels on the stock tires. I added slotted & drilled rotors and new ceramic pads which dramatically increased braking, just to be safe!
Pros —
Navigation system, comfort, reliability
Cons —
Cramped rear seat when the driver is over 6 feet.

| “A Great Car!”
The Accord is solid, quiet and refined, and it makes a fine family sedan. Any Accord model is exceptionally pleasant in virtually every respect, but the sedan trails just a bit in ride comfort. Generally, the ride is smooth, but some bumps are bothersome.
Pros —
Spirited acceleration with V-6
+ Reputation for reliability + Instrument readability + Easy to drive and maneuver + Visibility
Cons —
Over-abundant controls with navigation system
- Snug passenger compartment - Short seat bottoms |
| “Solid Fast Family Sedan” Just Perfect! THis my second Accord, this model is smaller but it is more agile. I really like to take the sharp turns and it is equipped all the security features.
Pros —
V6
Navigation All the luxuries for a decent price
Cons —
Gas Consumption (20 MPG Inthe city)
|
| “Hell Of A Car” reliable, stable and smooth.
Pros —
very responsive
Cons —
none

I have owned by 2004 Accord since February of 2004. I have only had to replace the tires and rear brakes and the car has about 55K on it. The car is a very smooth ride, handles well in rain and wind, it is an extremely safe car, and has a lot of luxery features. Most people think they are getting into a lexus when they get into my car. Plus, my car still smells new. I researched a lot of vehicles before I purchased this car. I started out with the accord because I previously owned a 1986 Accord that lasted until I graduated college. I looked at many cars, but the Camery, Altima, and Maxima were the best cars that I looked at compared to the Accord. The Altima and Camery were jerky when you accelerated. Additionally, the 6-cd changer, moon roof, etc. was not standard with the Camery and I would have to pay about 3K more for those features. I really liked the Maxima, but it was 10K more than the Accord. Ultimately, the Accord was the best value and has 240HP, 6 cyl., 4 door and drives like a luxery car.
Pros —
4 door, premium wheels, airbags everywhere, dual heat/air, dual front heated seats, 6 Cd in-dash changer, leather seats, sun/moon roof, cruise, etc. It is a great car.
Cons —
I don't think Honda made a great antenna for FM/AM radio. You hear a lot of static because the antenna is located on the back windshield above the defroster. It looks like it is the rear window defroster, but no it is an antenna. I brought my car to the dealership several times to get this looked at. Finally we parked it next to the newest 2007 model and it sounded the same. Just beware, if you use your itrip, it will sound a lot worse. But, invest in XM radio, because that sounds perfectly clear. I wish Honda made a better radio. Additionally, there is no secondary rear heat/air vents or heated seats. Only in the front seats!
Also, my sisters have learned that you cannot place burded CDs with the CD labels attached. These will ruin your CD player. Both of my sisters have CRVs and within 1 month, they both stopped working. So, if a friend rips you a CD, make sure it does not have a label (from a label maker) on it. Apparently the glue comes off and destroys your system. Honda does not warn you about this and just tells you to purchase a new CD player. |
