love this truck. the only thing is ford and all car commpines need to but 4 way disks on all trucks. and need to let it go over 90mph. other then that its a blast to drive and everyone needs one

I love the truck, but I am startimg to see where the previous owner didn't much care about maintenance

Performance is good, it accelerates well, and handles really good.
Build quality is very solid.  I have hit a desk in the middle of the freeway at 80 mph and only broke the grill, rear ended a couple of cars, and there is no visible damage from these.
Appearance is starting to wan due to the previous owner not really giving a crap

First let me note that mine is actually a 1999, but the 1999 trim options didn't include a 4-door, which mine is. Also, the picture isn't of my exact truck, but the closest I could find. The only difference is that mine is a 4-door extended cab.
Now, that being said, I love the 4-door option, it's so helpful, I love it. Unfortunately I have the 3.0L V6 under the hood, so the mileage is a tiny bit better than my previous Ranger (which had the 4.0L V6), but the difference in power and acceleration isn't worth it, I wish this one had the 4.0L, the 3.0L feels gutless in comparison. The ride is smooth, especially for the miles it has on it, and although I've only had it for a few months now, I have yet to have any problems and think that this year/model/whatever is just as bulletproof as my older Ranger has been.
