There are better choices out there, as the Impala feels dated compared to just about every other midsize and fullsized sedans offered by the competition.  While there is nothing terribly bad about this sedan, there is nothing exceptional about this sedan.  The interior packaging is lousy, while the drivability is decent overall.  The ride is good, but far from the best in class.  The handling is mushy, as well as the braking performance.  The engine sounds quiet at cruise and idle, but is very thrashy during acceleration.

Pros — Styling doesn't offend, quietness at idle and cruising, Optional 3.9L engine
Cons — Lackluster handling, braking, acceleration, rear seat room, seat contouring, Good for rental fleets, but hardly awe inspiring for the consumer.
