I have had my Chevy truck for 8 months now. This is my 10th Chevy truck. It was a little scary spending over $30k for a truck, but I am thrilled with it. Guess my only "ding" on the truck is in the interior.it took a little getting used to as I find the front seats a little to low and kind of uncomfortable. My truck has the open console between the seats in front, so you cant store anything close in the front. I wished the lower models had a cover on this arm-rest to hide valuab les.My truck  is black on black and the cloth interior seems to be holding up fine. No apparent finish issues or problems with how it was built. In past chevy trucks I have had, I found form and fit of parts to be somewhat lacking, but all those issues seem to be corrected. The power is great, and hauling is no problem. I haul a toy trailer, and a camper with no problems. The tailgate on the lower model trucks does not lock, I think this feature would be usefull to anyone who owns a truck. Take it from someone who has had a couple tailgates stolen, this cheap feature would save a bunch on deductables. The new body style truck has great all around views to drive, and a smooth ride on the highway. Gas mileage..... not so much, I realize I bought a full sized truck, but hoped for more than the 12-13 in town and 14-15 on the highway I am presently getting.

Pros — Beautiful design, reliability, great for hauling
Cons — low driver seat,mileage

I was told by even my Chevy mechanic that this new style Silverado was built solid, and I love the new look, but that's about all I can say good so far. I only have around 1300 miles now, but gas mileage is worse than the '06 Silverado I traded in, about 17.5 versus 20. I took a longer highway trip yesterday and averaged 15.9 pathetic mpg. I also have a strange high pitched whistling noise coming from somewhere, and was told it has to do with the accellerator? I've noticed a slight rattle or crackle in the drivers door, but it tends to come and go. Love the look inside and out but I personally find a couple of the gauges a little hard to see at times. It seems like the gas gauge could have been tilted in a little more towards the driver. Overall interior seems a little nicer than the '06, and the extra electronic features are neat. Overall, I would have looked at other trucks or stuck with my '06 had I known.

Pros — New styling inside and out, nice display options and electronics with right option packages
Cons — Worse MPG, still questionable fit and finish, wierd noises as usual. How bad were the other trucks for this one to win "Truck of the Year"?

On test drive there was a vibration between 45 to 55 MPH.
Then we hit a little small broken pavement in the road and the truck jumps all over the place!

Pros — Truck sits low and is easy to get in and out of it, looks good.
Cons — Gas mileage is a joke if not an out right lie. BAD MPG, BAD Ride.

Love the truck, except for 2 things, the interior noise that the dealership can't pinpoint, and they delay from V4 to V8 when you stomp on the gas pedal.  Other than that the truck is great, looks alot better than the previos silverado.
