K2500 454 Vortec with 4L80E, Detroit Locker in 14 bolt full floater rear 3500 springs and torsion bars. it handles like a sports car with the stiff springs, and can pass people going uphill while towing a 25' chris craft
Pros:
fast, reliable, hauls...
Cons:
Goes through fuel like a bar goes through beer on a friday night

I always like Suburbans and these are one of my favorite bodies but I was not happy with the 6.5td, which is too bad becausae I would have liked the diesel to work out. The power was pretty good and like the turbo for our altitude but ours had too many issues to keep. Other than the 6.5 I have had no issues and enjoyed the truck.
Pros:
Style, options, duribility, and usefulness.
Cons:
The 6.5td was under par with the gas engines then and new diesles.
