Good on Gravel, fairly solid.
Lots of squeaks and rattles.
Not that great on gas, seen better and worse.
Looks like what it is; A family car.
It's ok to drive, wouldn't say that its real fun, but not hard either.

My cavalier was black and the appearance was very sharp when it was new.  The interior looked good too, but was very small and not very comfortable when taking longer trips.  But it got great gas mileage and has lasted me until now and is still running well.  I had one accident with it and had to have the driver side front side replaced, it was easy to replace most items and you can hardly tell it was redone.  The car ran very smoothly when it was new and I could easily get it out to 100 on the freeway with out even realizing I was going that fast (until I got a ticket of course), but now it is harder to get it going at that speed, but not unrealistic for its age.  Overall a very solid auto that will probably last me at least a couple more years...cheap & affordable for those on a budget, but I don't think they make the Cavalier anymore so unfortunately you cannot purchase one if you were interested.

while its not exactly a cool vehicle you will get your money's worth

i already replaced the radiator and the shifter nob because it got chewed up, the clutch is going out and it needs a new water pump, the trunk lid is dented in and the rear bumper has a few holes in it and is a little melted from the exaust pipe not being long enough or pointing down, the hood doesnt close all the way because the bracket is missing a bolt so the bracket moves when you close it but it latches on the saftey, the shifter doesnt want to shift into reverse very well and sometimes doesnt want to shift into first, and it has a dent in the front passenger side door, and that is what is wrong with it other than it is a chevy

I bought it as used and just had to recently replace the engine at 146,000 miles. I put alot of miles on it and my only complaint was the loss of airconditioning three  years ago
