A great car, 4 out of 5 only because of
the boxy exterior and power. I bought
this used in 1999 and drove it until
2006, now I'm giving it to my son who
will soon have his license. Everything
about the car is still perfect, just
needs some exhaust system work (rust and
corrosion), a new battery and starter.
The interior is roomy and comfortable,
plus icy A/C and pretty good speakers. I
get high mileage, around 30 mpg city,
which is incredible considering the year
of the car. A bit of rust on the
outside, not very noticeable. Automatic
trans., has a bit of trouble going up
big hills but that isnt much of a
problem where I live. A perfect car for
someone who just needs to get around
town and take a long trip every now and
then. Handles very well, easy driving
but fun.

Pros: Cold A/C, roomy, good mileage
Cons: Old exterior, rust attacks, hard time on big (really big) hills

It may not have good looks or a great appearance but it is going to last forever or at least until I can upgrade to something better.  I'd suggest anyone go find a car like this because they aren't expensive anymore and it will get you around for an affordable price.

Pros: It will last forever
Cons: The rusty appearance

One Ugly Car but def handled nice. No major Problems with it. Took off for being an old junker. Wish i would have never gotten rid of it. Could do just about anything to that car and it would have a problem

Pros: Everything
Cons: being old and ugly

I have my old Toyota DX Estate for about 7 years now. I purchased it as a second car for running about and making various trips to our local re-cycling centre in Trim. This car is a 1.8 Diesel, it does not have any toys at all ( unlike my every-day BMW 523 SEi) but what it does have is total reliability and economy to run. With diesel prices rocketing here in Ireland and the price of cars up and down, this little car is slowly becoming me day to day car. The BMW sits in my driveway more and more. My Corolla does need a few jobs done on it now..clutch and a brake upgrade, plus some small bodywork jobs...is it worth it.? YES...and in time the BWM will be sold..nice car yes..practical..sometimes..but becoming too costly to own and run wth road tax here in Ireland hitting €1500/yr with new rules coming in. Watch that space..

Pros: Total reliability...even with 190k..simple to own and maintain
Cons: ehhhhhhhhh...could do with power steering...MAYBE

Big Pimpin aka the Maybach. Total POS that lasted forever and was only tossed after the inspection guy said getting a new muffler for my car was going to run more than the care was worth. 224k miles.

Pros: Reliable, dirt cheap...
Cons: The only option on the car was A/C

My car has great interior and the body is fairly straight. The only concerns are the engine is going out and the paint is oxidised because it was owned near the ocean.

Pros: Great fuel economy and will last longer than most cars.
Cons: The power of the engine is going out, mostly because it has very small tires and is nearly twenty years old.

I've been driving my 89 Corolla DX for almost 2 years. This particular car was created to be a classic! It's fun to drive it, and a family oriented vehicle!

Pros: Reliable, Cheap spare parts
Cons: I have no cons. This is a wonderful car

This was my 1st car in high school, and a well deserved one.  For someone with a lead foot, and a knack for playing Ridge Racer back in 95, this Corolla was the perfect automobile for driver training.  I can't imagine the amount of abuse I put this car through, but it just keeps on going.  I don't think  the engine oil or transmission fluid were ever changed after the first 30k miles.  This car was never serviced, and its alignment completely out of whack (steering wheel was 90 degrees off), but the car drove perfectly.  It always started out with no problem, and never died on me.  The upholstery on the roof was secured with staples out of a staple gun, and you can see the hood prop was broken, so we had use a breaker bar.  Other than that, perfect car.

Pros: Utterly indestructible no matter how abuse you incur onto it.
Cons: Can't think of any, the ultimate and perfect daily driver.
