- The Cummins is a brute built for work.  It tows my trailer without issue. The engine is smooth, the NV5600 transmission is ok - 3rd gear synchro is very notchy and the box shifts slowly.  The brakes are acceptable, but a truck of this weight and pulling power really should have larger front rotors with larger pads and 4 or 6 piston calipers to improve brake performance and pedal feel.  This may very well be upgraded soon.
- The build quality is above expection of a Chrysler product that was assembled in Mexico.  There are some small issues that are design issues more than assembly related.
- Appearance is solid.
- cost of ownership has been very good.  regular maintenance is easy to perform.  fuel ecomomy has deteriorated since ultra low sulfer diesel was introduced - lost 2.5 mpg - but thank god its is cleaner (ignoring that its burning more now - once again the morons of the EPA have won this one...)
-Overall, this is a solid work horse.  The biggest issue that will be resolved shortly is improving the engine's efficiency with this new ultra low sulfer diesel fuel.
