2001 Chevrolet Malibu Base Reviews
“Rest In Peace Buddy...”
My first car and the car I learned how to drive in. It was defective and broke down at least 3 times a month. I called it Negative Nixon. When it worked it was amazing. When it didn't.... well at least it looked good sitting in the garage. hahahaha. I had some great memories in that car. I'd still have it, but in late 2007 some jackass ran a red light and totalled it out.

The smaller of Chevrolet's two midsize sedans slots below Impala in size, price, and market position. Malibu offers base and LS models, both with a V6, automatic transmission, and ABS. Impala can seat six; Malibu has front bucket seats for 5-passenger capacity. For 2001, power door locks and a rear defogger are now standard on the base model as well as the LS.
I hate driving this car, but it is pretty fast for a stock sedan, and very practical. It has had normal wear and tear but still rips pretty good. Its really good for a front wheel drive car for drifting in the snow.
This poor car can take a lickin' and keep on tickin'! My Mali-blue is a former rental car, purchased in 2003 with 34,000 miles on her. She's now at 119,000 and still going strong!
