A very Nice Car with great acceleration and braking.  The handling is great and can turn on a dime.  It has had a few problems, such as the ABS doesn't work and the engine light comes on from time to time but it doesn't affect driving.  It's a nice looking car both inside and out.  It gets around 20 MPG which is not great but is ok for a '01.

Pros — Easy to Drive
Cons — Electronic Problems

Cons — Built poorly.

My first car and the car I learned how to drive in.  It was defective and broke down at least 3 times a month.  I called it Negative Nixon.  When it worked it was amazing.  When it didn't.... well at least it looked good sitting in the garage.  hahahaha.  I had some great memories in that car.  I'd still have it, but in late 2007 some jackass ran a red light and totalled it out.

Pros — The memories.
Cons — Everything Else.

The smaller of Chevrolet's two midsize sedans slots below Impala in size, price, and market position. Malibu offers base and LS models, both with a V6, automatic transmission, and ABS. Impala can seat six; Malibu has front bucket seats for 5-passenger capacity. For 2001, power door locks and a rear defogger are now standard on the base model as well as the LS.

Pros — It withstood a lot of beating that I gave it. Pretty safe in after two car accidents.
Cons — UGLY, Velour seats, vinyl interior, UGLY, Horrible in deep snow, Trunk had an "unfinished" look, passenger mirror had no adjustment knobs, gas consumption sucked: 19/21

I hate driving this car, but it is pretty fast for a stock sedan, and very practical.  It has had normal wear and tear but still rips pretty good.  Its really good for a front wheel drive car for drifting in the snow.

Pros — Quick, decent for drifting, Practical
Cons — Boring to drive, Looks like every other car

This poor car can take a lickin' and keep on tickin'!  My Mali-blue is a former rental car, purchased in 2003 with 34,000 miles on her.  She's now at 119,000 and still going strong!

Pros — "Believe-it-or-not" fun to drive!
Cons — None!

Not happy that I have this car, but it's decent I guess.

Pros — Handling.
Lots of space in the trunk.
Cons — Random things happen to it; tree limbs falling upon it, cars hitting you in the taco bell parking lot.

Ok before I begin, I'd like to say that I've never experienced the intake manifold gasket problem that so many other people seem to have, and I'm quite pleased with my car.

I first bought the car, because a friend of mine had the same year (though it was the LS trim), and I'd thought it would be a decent car.  I was right!!!  This car has proven to be a very smooth and nice ride, and since it was my first car I was highly impressed.  The city driving will kill your fuel, however highway driving proves to be quite nice!  The only thing that could use refinement is the steering is just a tad stiff, and the brakes are not the best (as a matter of fact there subpar).  Other than that this car has been one of the best i've bought.  Don't let the other reviews scare you from buying this car.  Since there seems to be a significant problem with the intake, I'd get it thoroughly inspected, otherwise it's just as good as any other car.
