2006 Ford F-150 XLT 4dr SuperCrew 4WD Styleside 6.5 ft. LB Reviews
“Who Needs A Car When You Have This?”
The F-150 has one of the most well-laid out interiors of any truck. Fit and finish is excellent, controls are well placed and have good tactile feel. The crew cab offers generous room and comfortable amenities for all passengers.
While the engine is certainly less capable than its competitors, this is only noticed when towing heavy loads. Every day driving produces more than acceptable performance.
“Gas Guzler, One Flimsey Electronic Switch Controlling 4x4 Not Reliable”
first snowstorm of the season, new 2006 truck 4x4 would not kick in for almost one hour, too late reached destination already luckily.a few months later, grinding and banging in front, scared the hell out of me while driving on the highway, took it to dealer for repair and told it is not an unusual problem with their 4x4 system solenoid this, vacuum leak that, a very weak and sensitve system for a big and supposably tough truck . i was driving in regular 2wd when the big bangs and grinding occured. it lasted aboat 30 seconds each time, 4 times in one day.bottom line, have a new truck that i cannot feel comfortable driving on long trips.poor reliability, better off with a 4x2. f150 electronic 4x4 system sucks big time
