1998 Toyota Celica 2 Dr GT Hatchback Reviews

Out of the 6 cars I've owned, this is the second oldest; however I've got to say it's probably the best so far. Ok, it's not a brand new hard top convertible like the last, but it's just got more character and better to drive. Handling I can't say a bad thing about it, as with the clutch & gearbox. Appearance is getting there, a few subtle TRD decals already in place, nothing overboard and done properly. Full interior retrim is in the pipeline. The only downfall on it is the dent on the passenger door (which some bastard damaged & drove off!) and the engine. For a 1.8 it's good performance, a brilliant car to drive; however it just doesn't cut up to the chase for pure power. There's a posibility that I may buy her a turbo or give her a GT4 engine, however that's money permitting! I just can't bring myself to sell the Ginger Beast and trade her for a GT4, it just wouldn't be the same!
