My green giant has a 4.3 liter V-6 that has get up and go.I can pass up cars when I need to. Took it camping fully loaded,had no problems,and handled well.
Rides like a truck, drives like a truck, hauls ass like a truck. I had this 2003 Silverado 1500 SB Reg Cab with the 4.8 liter V8 for 40 months. I never had a single problem with it. I had custom true-dual exhaust with Flowmaster 40 Series mufflers installed and the truck sounded great. The exhaust and a few other add-ons gave it over 300 HP in a 4000 lb truck. The only reason that I got rid of it was because the price of gas doubled, and I didn't need a truck. I saw 12-19 MPG.
I had a 2003 Silverado SB/Reg Cab with the 4.8 liter V8. It was a great truck for the 40 months that I owned it. It never had any major faults, only routine maintenance. The truck was easy and fun to drive, but bumpy on uneven roads. The seating position was comfortable and provided excellent visibility. I saw between 10-17 MPG in the city and 19 at 85 on the highway. I had custom true-dual 40 Series Flowmasters installed and the thing sounded like a dream. I still miss this truck.
