1994 Ford Explorer 4 Dr Limited 4WD SUV Reviews
| “My First Car! Yay!” I remember it like it was yesterday. This was acutally quick, for a brick! Also had 4wd, came in hady a few times.
Pros —
Roomy
Green (color, not environment) 4WD 8 Cylinder
Cons —
MPG (but back then who cared? Gas@ 1.10/gal!
Tranny began to fail around 78,000 miles. |
| “Best Vehicle Ever Owned” Has provided 7 years of reliable use with $ spent on exhaust, some body work, battery, wheel bearing and 4WD maintenance. Have owned longer than all previous vehicles owned and would keep except for body rust. Enough power from 4L V-6 for my use. Great visibility for driver and very maneuverable in tight spots. Not great on deteriorating paved roads.
Pros —
Comfortable, flexible use, reliable
Cons —
Poor economy, rust shows after 10 years

| “I'm Not Reviewing My Cars... Just Listing Them” It was a fun car, limited edition, and it had dual center of gravities, just depended how you sat in it. If you sit in it right, you'll feel the real center of gravity. Never rolled it, 4 wheel slides, off roading, 4x4, i forced the thing to jump back and forth from offroad truck to ricer all the time, just too bad it didn't have any pick up to go with it.
Pros —
lots and lots of room, solid chasis
Cons —
slow as hell... no acceleration
