| “Best Bmw For Your Money.” I know I gave it all 5's, but this truly the best car I have owned. Every time I drive it, I am satisfied with it's performance more and more. The addition of 15x7 wheels and bilstein/vogtland suspension makes this car an incredible driving experience on the road. I have had to make a few repairs over the course of my ownership, but even replacing the clutch bearing was an easier job than I had thought. E30s are renowned for being hearty cars, and the M20 will run forever granted you periodically replace the timing belt/water pump, adjust the valve gaps, and keep the crankcase filled with fresh oil.
Pros —
Outstanding build quality, high performance even stock, timeless looks.
Cons —
A little boxy, trunk is too small

| “Classic German Car!” If your looking for something that is reliable, quick and has that reotro feel i would definatley recommend this car fully. BMW doesn't even make cars like this anymore. If your mechanically inclined and know your way around a car, it is pretty easy to do most of the upkeep and repairs yourself. Specially concidering the dealer charges just about 100 an hour for labor. This car handles great in corners as well at high speeds. I'd compare it to riding on rais. The draw back of the car i'd have to say would be the lack or acceleration to match the handling. The acceleration is pretty decent but still lacks the get up and go of some other sporty cabrios out there these days. This can all be solved with simple having a turbo or supercharger installed. Overall i would give this car a 8.5 out of 10.
Pros —
great handling, easy to work on, very very reliable
Cons —
needs more of the line acceleration.

| “Hey, It's A Bimmer!” It's an older one so it doesn't have all the hi tech do dads like the newer ones, but goes, stops, and turns and is engineered and built like the quality German automobile that it is.
Pros —
Engineering, design, construction, style.
Cons —
age

The circa 1970's cylinder head leaves a lot to be desired.
