| “Gm Gets The C6 Right In Every Way!” I had a chance to flog the C6 Vette two summers ago at Las Vegas' "The Drive" (now on tour) - essentially a way to put the cars through their paces on an autocross course. Having driven everything from high powered Neons to Mustangs, old Vettes to large SUV's I was interested in how this car would fair. Essentially the Corvette outperforms just about anything on the road. The new series of LS engines in the Vette delivers perfect and seamless power and torque. Handling and braking like a pro is effortless, and the interior is plush and ergonomic. This is an out and out thoroughbred of a performance car, but the interior is such that one wouldn't get easily jarred on a long trip. Kudos to Chevy for getting it right on all points.
Pros —
Great styling, excellent acceleration, braking, handling, perfect interior.
Cons —
None. Unless you count the price, which is still pretty good considering the bang for your buck factor.

| “Very, Very Good Looking And Fun...”
Can't beat the Vette for the money. It's a little too much car for me; but I could so I did... You only live once; right?
Pros —
It's a Vette!
Cons —
Gas mileage is not near ratings. It's a Chevy.

Pack in tons of gear for long trips. Composite panels resist dents.
Great Hwy. mileage 30
Cons —
Removable roof still a hassle despite improvements. I should have
bought the ragtop. |
| “A $45,000 Rattle Trap” a Car Guru
I've owned my 2007 Corvette since October 13, 2006 and have had problems with the electronics in alarm system and severe problems with rattles coming from behind the dashboard. The first attempt to fix the rattles took 5-weeks or roughly 15% of the time I had owned it. It was determined that the source of the problem was a broken weld on a brace. To get at it they had to disassemble a great deal of the dashboard and steering components. I have had the car back for a little over a month and an "identical" rattle has returned with avengence. If you are susceptible to road rage having to drive the car with that incessant rattle will definitely test your self- control to prevent such an act. At my last visit to a dealership to have the problem diagnosed I overheard the service department manager whisper to the service advisor that another owner had recently come to the dealership with the same complaint so I know there are more of you out there suffering the same pain I am. If so I'l like to hear from you. I am seriously considering filing suit to get my money back under the lemon law. Will be consulting an attorney this week Anyone out there with experiece in this area. The car is a great looking car and performs very well but its failings far exceed its pluses. And GM wonders why their market share keeps dwindling. Health care cost, baloney! It's definitely a company whose time has come and gone and never will return as I for one will never by another GM car again nor recomend one to anyone. I have a 10-year Honda Civic and the most inexpensive 2002 Ford Ranger that can be bought and together I haven't had the problems I've got with a brand new $45,000 Corvette.
Pros —
Great looking with great performance.
Cons —
Slipshod manufacturing, extremely poor quality cotrol, and an electronics "system" that's so incomprehensible Chevrolet couldn't explain how it works in a clear fashion in their owner's manual and when you ask a service rep they just shrug their shoulders.

| “Car Has Been Drive 136 Miles And Has Been Towed 2 Times For Failure To Start” Have not had it long enough to make a reasonable judgement. However, I was not too happy when my wife and I were locked in the car after the battery died. |
