2006 Peugeot 206 Reviews

I own a 1.4 16v Sport 206, Its Flamenco Red, with added wheel arch extensions, SP font grills, bonnet top grills and rear spoiler.

Performance is pretty good for a 1.4 liter engine, handles brilliantly, fuel consumption varies depending on how hard you drive it, lowest I've had is 9,4mpg and highest is around 46mpg.
0-60mph takes just under 10 seconds, the brakes fitted as standard are disks all around with ABS so stopping is delt with nicely.

I Purchased my car for £5995 and costs me (an 18 year old boy) £2000 to insure fully comp. Costs around £40 to fill to thanks to the small fuel tank, a tank of petrol lasts me around a week i use mine every day, commuting to work and back.

Build Quality, its a Peugeot so you can't expect much, the idea of the 206 has been around for over 10 years now so there is not much that can go wrong that shouldn't be a normal problem with the 206, maybe Engine mounts and the coil going faults (older cars suffer from these problems)
It rattles and the clutch peddle squeaks when i take my foot off it, but you get used to the quirky noises after a while, such as the glove box rattle, there is nothing in my glove box and it still rattles.

The foot peddles are a bit too close together but you get used to them, if i wear boots i can brake and accelerate at the same time with ease, not a good thing to do but its easily done.

I like owning my Peugeot, I've owned 3, my Girlfriend owns one too. I would recommend one but there are a lot of them on the road now so its difficult to be different driving one.

Overall a good little car to drive.

Performance - acceleration ok, braking ok, handling good
Build Quality -rattles alot with music and bumps
Appearance - i added a bodykit and now looks the bee's knees
Cost of Ownership -cheap to run, if driven well
Fun Factor -yes it is fun

the automatic sport model can only be described as a death trap.. the engin goes off on little rampages and it accellerates on its own. this is deadly on a chaine. almost killed me. DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE CARS!!!!!

It's still alive in spite of all bad things i made my 206 supported ^^
But in corners, handling is not so good, or it may is tyres' fault. The engine is a diesel 70bhp, but the car is light, so it's not bad for a young people, but please, look for more power if you have more money !
