1995 Chevrolet Lumina Reviews
| “My First Car....” I loved this car. I inherited it from my parents when they bought a Ford Edge so I could get to the college without having to rely on friends. I beat the crap outta that car. That car was very solid, pity I was such a harsh driver. Petal to the metal acceleration eventually took its toll on the transmission and the engine it seems. In terms of performance, it was fast. I due to lack of road I never broke 170km/h but then again that car wasn't meant to go super fast. It gave me the impression of being more power and strength than speed. Build Quality. HAHAHAHA. It doesn't matter how tough you build a vehicle, you'll always find a way to break it. If I took care of it, I'd still be driving it. Everything that happened with that car was my own fault :P Appearance. Not the nicest car... doesn't compare to something like... I dunno, a Chrysler 300? But it was a good one. All the dents and scratches I put in it offroading just added character to it. Nothing quite gets me like people in their big shiny 4x4 trucks, babying them, never taking them off city streets. Where here I am, barrelling down back roads, climbing mountains, doing things that car was never meant to do. It didn't cost too much to own. Apart from the repairs, less than $2000 for insurance and about $80 bucks a fill. I managed to get roughly 400 km out of a tank but then again that was usually with me speeding to and from Cranbrook so that always hurt the tank a little. I found that car "Fun" enough that I regret being so hard on it. If I had a choice in what car I have now, I probably would have gone and bought another. So yea... I'd recommend it.
Pros —
More than enough power to get me where ever I needed to go
Cons —
It had a driver that was tough on it and like any vehicle it gave out

| “The Overall” Reviewing:
1995 Used Chevrolet Lumina 4 Dr STD Sedan
Great CAR! I beat the hell out of this thing and yet it is still running with over 130K miles to it. The matienence can be a little tricky with some spots having little room. Was a nice looking car at one point before I started driving it everyday.Just about your average get to everywhere car. Not really a stand out.
Pros —
Can surley take the wear and tear of a college kid and run well.
Cons —
not really, though I am sure that it has a lot to say negative wise about me.

| “Sweet Car” Reviewing:
1995 Used Chevrolet Lumina 4 Dr LS Sedan
It's a sleeper car so far. Aftermarket radio and speakers. Would like to get a little more performance. Needs different exhaust or none at all. Great gas mileage so far (20 City - 25 HW). Great handling for a car this size. Parts are a bit over priced if you go with Genuine GM.
Pros —
It's a Lumina.
Cons —
Most cramped engine bay ever.

| “Decent For $1000” Reviewing:
1995 Used Chevrolet Lumina 4 Dr LS Sedan
Not a bad car for the money. Just had the typical Chevy problems that was either basic maintenance or caused by me beating it up. Definitely a comfortable car that was actually pretty quick.
Pros —
Quick, roomy, somewhat reliable, easy to work on, easy to find parts.
Cons —
Typical 90's Chevy, rust holes on quarter panels, leaked oil (typical).

| “Great School Car” It has crappy acceleration, but it has new tires, belts, hoses, now 2 owners 92k miles, couple of dents and scratchs but hardly noticable, BIG trunk space.
Pros —
great gas milage about 28-30 mpg
Cons —
acceleration

| “I Shared This Car With My Family Until I Messed It Up. First Car That I Sped Excessively With.”
This car was actually a good sedan for its age. It had a V6, so its fuel economy was average. It safely transported us for years. Then, I messed it up.
