1996 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Reviews
| “The Car I Wish I'd Have Never Wrecked.” Reviewing:
1996 Used Chevrolet Monte Carlo 2 Dr LS Coupe
I just sold the car for parts after the transmission went out in August, 2007 which I think was caused by getting hit by a Jeep in May, 2007. It always got anywhere between 24-29 mpg. To this day I wish I'd never wrecked it or else I'd still be driving it today.
Pros —
Roomy, ran great, got great gas mileage. Also, had plenty of power for a car that weighed 3,300 lbs.
Cons —
Cost me $450 to put intake gaskets in it.

| “My Mothers Car” Reviewing:
1996 Used Chevrolet Monte Carlo 2 Dr Z34 Coupe
average performance, has a rev limiter of 4000, and the interior is quite large. very big car as well, and the 3.4l is a touch noisy for the usage of it. (even though i know it is a Z34) quite slow of the start, but grabs after 2000 rpm, and picks up quicker... not the best rendition of the famed montecarlo, but its a car...
Pros —
has the same styling as the lumina, so parts are abundant. large interior room, and loads of luxury features9that were not standard in 1996) has buttons on the steering wheel... and the same stereo as the 2001 GMC sierra lol
Cons —
it has the same styling as the lumina, and the car has a rev limiter. long front & rear overhang, and long wheelbase... not the montecarlo that i expected to drive

| “The Car With The Unfixable Engine” Reviewing:
1996 Used Chevrolet Monte Carlo 2 Dr Z34 Coupe
The Car drives good up to about 85k, then the check engine light comes on that it's misfiring, and almost every sensor goes bad.
Pros —
Easy standard maintenance
Cons —
Tune-ups are a pain because you have to remove the intake manifold to change 3 plugs.

| “Tire-smoking Power And Supermodel Looks” Reviewing:
1996 Used Chevrolet Monte Carlo 2 Dr Z34 Coupe
The 1996 Chevy Monte Carlo Z-34 is a racy, NASCAR-inspired two-door sport coupe. The vehicle has ample power from the 3.4L engine, and the available exterior and interior accessory options make for a very personalized vehicle.
Pros —
Lots of power, sporty look, interior quality good.
Cons —
Basic maintenance hard to perform -- spark plugs hidden under cowling at rear of engine, require intake manifold removal to access back 3 plugs.
