2004 Volkswagen Polo Reviews

This polo has a 1600cc fuel injection engine which makes it allright in straight line acceleration. However  come summer this motor struggles even at sea level. Handling is not as good as Fiesta s although braking is pretty good  especially if you have some higher-end tyres. This car is very fun to drive  however - especially in medium traffic situations.    Build quality is average which the interior quality deteriorating substantially now  after 4 years . There are no major mechanical issues thusfar  however  and that is a positive.     The appearance of polo s in general is perceived as feminine  and my car is no exclusion. It is "pretty" but does not convey the sporty look I like in a car. Perhaps lowered suspension would do the trick     I would recommend this car to anybody who likes the styling and is not particularly concerned about the rest.

it accelerates really well off the mark, ive beaten many a car from the lights that have bigger engines, it brakes amazingly, handles like its on rails, my chair squeaks but it is 4!
black metallic black paintwork looks amazing when its clean... i love to drive it, it is a bit boring inside, just standard but i have alloys and tho people run into it (seriously im like a magnet for bad drivers) its fine, someone wrote their car off running into the back of me, whereas all it did was dint my back a bit...

For a first car it was comfortable, nice extras and is hard as nails.  The only issue with it was the handling, it is terrible around corners - rolls like hell!  Apart from that I would definitely recommend it as a run-around or a first car.

Not driven it too much. Build feels German, drives German. Gear Bag feels like German. Radio does some wierd shit when you speed up. Proper annoying. Overheats like billyo. Too many DEALER ONLY parts.
