1997 Chevrolet Cavalier Reviews
| “Cavalier” Reviewing:
1997 Used Chevrolet Cavalier 4 Dr STD Sedan
Great Car, Decently stylish, Great Gas Mileage, You can find this car for decently cheap, but you get more than you pay for, its very reliable . My car has over 120,000 miles and it still runs great. Its a great car for a student. You can fit your friends in it and its not huge like a boat.
Pros —
It gets me palces I need to go
Cons —
Mileage is High

| “It Really Is A Good Car.”
It's my first car-- and it's a good first car, but I want something more grown up and something with automatic everything.
Pros —
Still runs great after me basically running the crap out of it.
Cons —
Manual locks and windows and mirrors

1997 Used Chevrolet Cavalier 2 Dr STD Coupe
Great on gas! I went on a trip to Illinois with my Cavalier and got 39 miles per gallon! This car is great for students or anyone looking for an older economical car. The only downside is if you want to change the oil yourself, the oil filter is very difficult to get to. The trick is that you have to take off the front passenger side wheel and remove the plastic pannel that is located in the wheel well and you're there. The first time was rough but you get used to it. Overall the Cavalier is great, I'm always hauling my friends around in it and will be for years to come. This from me to you -- Get a Cavy!
Pros —
Gas mileage
Cons —
Oil filter location

| “Z24 Secrets” Reviewing:
1997 Used Chevrolet Cavalier 2 Dr Z24 Coupe
This is the second cavalier I've owned, its a great buy. The Z24 trim model like mine has plenty of acceleration for in-town driving and more than enough to hit the highway comfortably. Its factory Macpherson struts glue it to the road and maintain excellent ride quality with its stock tires. Due to its low weight braking performance is stellar.
Pros —
Unreal handling, excellent response and braking through weight and suspension design, excellent power for a economy car, and beautiful mileage.
Cons —
Plenty of power for the average person, not quite enough to make it a perfect starter with the street scene.

| “Your Typical Car, Nothing Special” Reviewing:
1997 Used Chevrolet Cavalier 2 Dr STD Coupe
It's a typical car. I'm not proud over owning it. It's very reliable (I put mine through A LOT) and it brakes/handles well...but the power/acceleration sucks. If Chevy had put in some better work and styling it would be a pretty sweet car. Too bad Chevy didn't hire me to style it ;) People compare it to sport compact cars and then say "it sucks", but it's not a sport compact, it's a typical economy car, and it does the job well.
Pros —
Handling is good, practical, comfortable ride.
Cons —
Good god the lack of power sucks - but it's an economy car...what do you really expect?

1997 Used Chevrolet Cavalier 4 Dr LS Sedan
The 1997 Chevrolet is your typical entry level sedan. One should not be surprised when it starts falling apart. Although I found the '97 to be much more durable than the '98 I had
Pros —
Usually Cheap, Good School Vehicle
Cons —
Usually Falls Apart
