1998 Chevrolet Tahoe Reviews
| “98 Tahoe” Reviewing:
1998 Used Chevrolet Tahoe 4 Dr LT 4WD SUV
this SUV is in really good shape visually but internally the engine burns oil really bad and you can't see it out of the tail pipe. It costed $9500 at Semo Motors. It is very fun to do 0 to 60 in this car. It shakes when it is stopped and the rpms go up and down. Other than that she is a pretty good SUV
Pros —
Great acceleration and handling, great handling and traction in snow also.
Cons —
burns oil, shakes at stops, makes wierd noises, rpms jump up and down

1998 Used Chevrolet Tahoe 2 Dr LT 4WD SUV
Performance: Acceleration is very touchy once work has been applied to the motor. I would compare to the acceleration of a Wrangler...a lot of torque and balls. Especially for the size truck I have.
Pros —
Body Style, 350 V8 Motor, very unique looking model.
Cons —
Fuel Pump

No major problems. Had coolant leak at rear of engine around 80,000 miles, replaced gasket, very thin surface area at this location. Check engine light came on several times around 100,000 miles. Dealer replaced oxygen sensor -was not the answer. Final fix was replacing the catalytic converters. (I like my Chevy dealer, he sent me to a muffler shop down the street, -had a much better price than he could give me.) No problems sense. |
