My hubbies car.  Comfortable on long trips, reasonably quiet even at speed.  Goes and stops well though 167bhp from 2.5 litres is pretty poor compared to todays cars.  Performance is adequate though and it doesn't mind being driven hard every now and again.  Handling good for a front driver though with the big V6 lump up front the natural tendency is to understeer into corners.
A big family hatchback, this has taken 4 blokes with a weekends worth of luggage and hiking equipment to Scotland and back with ease, averaging a steady 85mph all the way there and managed to get almost 400miles from one tank of fuel.
Overall a great car, can be driven like a hot hatch or poodle around as  family car, all the while listening to the smooth V6 engine.

Pros — Cheap to buy, well specced and fun to drive.
Cons — Thirsty, can be expensive when it goes wrong, cheap build quality - early Ford.

I wouldn`t change him for anything. My friends are telling me to sell him and buy something better like BMW, but I allways answer them "NO" there is something that bounds me with him, not even I know what is that but I just know I won`t sell him, no, never!!!

well ok my modle isn't in best condition and has done 160000 miles ish. so it's not really any geood to review. BUt it does have a massive boot and does give about 34 mpg which i think is amazing for an older car.
Insurance in s a rip off being just as dear as my scoob. Though If i had to go on a trip i would take this battered old girl than the scoob. After living with an impreza for 50000 iles i can tell you it isn't heap and can be quite stressful.
So this old car has given me the love old driving back so for that reason it's a star car.

Pros — Cheap running costs, Loads of spares in scrap yards. Huge boot you can hide in.
Cons — Insurance price
