This car is one of the greats! In it's hay-day it was one of the best around, definitely one of the fastest around, handles well too!
Pros:
Good acceleration, good speed, good handling.
Cons:
Rubbish air con, so a bit hot on warm days.

This is a 1.6 GTi, all original. Bought it for 400 quid when it was nearly 20 years old. Passed MOT straightawat and its drive was just superb! Never felt struggling when overtaking BMW's and brand-new bigger machines alike on twisted Wlesh moutain roads.

A 1600 16v example with 200bhp, fully stage rally preped and a right hoot.
