1999 Chevrolet Camaro Reviews

1999 Used Chevrolet Camaro 2 Dr STD Hatchback
It's a Camaro. I mean, what more can I say ;). Seriously, it has a V6, that feels like a V8, that gets nearly 30 MPG on the highway. It has a KILLER sound system, that will literally shake the windows in the houses you go by (not that I'd ever have the sound that loud, of course, LOL), and it's a t-top model, so you can have an almost convertible on a pretty day, and a hardtop coupe on rainy ones. I seriously doubt I'd trade it for anything, because it is perfect for the commuting college student. Oh, did I mention that it is super reliable.
Pros —
Looks amazing, mustang-killing performance, great sound system
Cons —
Tends to burn out turn-signal lights for some reason

1999 Used Chevrolet Camaro 2 Dr STD Hatchback
Great car, especially in England where there are very few around. Not bad economy for such a large engine either (5.7/350). Insurance is cheap, half the price over my old MR2 Turbo. Fun to drive, although not as good on the corners as others. Although you must get an after market exhaust to get the true V8 sound
Pros —
V8 Performance with sleeper looks in England
Cons —
Body not perfect

| “99 Ss 333rwhp” Reviewing:
1999 Used Chevrolet Camaro 2 Dr Z28 SS Hatchback
Current car is a 99 SS Camaro with the LS1 V8 engine backed by a 6 speed transmission with B&M shifter. Performance wise it has 4.10 gears, long tube headers, SLP air box lid, true dual exhaust, all tuned by HP Tuners to acheive 333rwhp. Pewter in color with 17" ZR1 wheels wrapped in Nitto tires and also has the T-top option.
Pros —
LS1 6 speed
Cons —
9 years old

1999 Used Chevrolet Camaro 2 Dr STD Convertible
I do truly love this car- I will always own a Camaro! It runs pretty good for a lil 6, but it has always had issues with coil packs...I have five of them in my backseat just in case. It's certainly fun to drive and will take a corner! My problems with this car the same problem with all newer vehicles- that computer crap makes it impossible to fix on your own and some of the parts are not quality. For example, after like 3 years, I had to replace my power window motor. Keep in mind the ones on my Vette are 30 years old and still work perfectly! Overall, though, I am in love with this car!
Pros —
Sexy
Cons —
They don't build them like they used to!

| “3.8 Liter V-6 That Pulls Nice, But Expect Some Plastic To Break” Reviewing:
1999 Used Chevrolet Camaro 2 Dr STD Hatchback
The 1999 Camaro that I own has seen better days. Not because it has been treated horribly, but because the build quality is in my eyes substandard. Trim pieces molded in plastic are cracking and breaking, the leather is cracking, and the paint is cracking. The car is cracking all over. Not to say that the drivetrain is hearty and loves being pushed, but performance is slightly above standard for its generation. With a basic FlowMaster Exhaust system, I can still beat brand new V-6 Mustangs, quite impressive. That is in a straight line. On a track, I don't know how safe I would feel with the amount of body roll I experience in my Camaro to take it around a track going anything over 40mph.
Pros —
Performance for Price
Easy Transmission Basic Interior Fuel Economy (Regular 87 Octane Gas and 19/29mpg)
Cons —
Interior Build Quality
Soft Suspension Plastic Headlights Hard to Work on Without a Lift
