2000 Used Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Ext Cab Short Bed 4WD
Don't care for the 5 . 3 liter but it is better than the 4.3. With that said I would have perfered to purchase the 6.0 if that was an option but fuel consuption is great with towing a 31 ft trailer. I would like to have a newer one and keep this as a work truck.

Lots of power and good millage i get 19MPG average! chevy is amazing so far I have gotten a 6400 Lb trailer behind it and once loaded a trailer and the truck to its max with 4 wheelers and camping gear and it pulled like a champ! and I still averages 14.5MPG pretty good for going 70 down the interstate with a truck weighing over 10,500 Lbs at that point!
Pros —
It was a good price and is quality where it is important engine, drive train body etc.
Cons —
its a little short and has IFS up front but over all these are very minor details

Chevrolet power with reliability it has 170,000 miles on it and it has never broke on me nor have i had any major mechanic work on it. great acceleration and pick up. will put you back in your seat. chevy always has the smoothest ride and great off road capabilities. Gas mileage is the best you will get in a truck no matter what brand, interior and exterior styling is awesome.

Pretty fast truck cause its 2WD with a 4.8L, not bad gas millage, bout 225,000 kms on her and very few probloms other then brakes, tires, anti-frezze clamp and a bit of rust to take off by the muffler. Awesome truck and very reliable. Its a fun truck to drive.

I love this truck. Hard working, great performance, sport tuned engine, kick ass exhaust, leather interior, great gas milage, WILL BOW A MUSTANG OFF THE ROAD!!!!!! Nothing wrong except a couple dents in the fenders, no repairs since i got it, best handling ive ever had. RECOMEND HIGHLY FOR ALL.

tons and tons of aftermarket parts... motor upgraded computer chip.. tinted windows 20" rims sport tires.. exaust from magnaflow.. extra chrome trim everywhere.. extremely high tech alarm.. as well as JL subs speakers and tweaters all around.. not the best on gas yet all the attention is totally worth it

you really cant beat the versatility of a truck and this trucks off road ability is tremendous. 300 hp and 365 lbs of torque, disc brakes all around, handles better than most small cars. the only problem is the cost. about a thousand dollars a month between payments, insurance and gas. other than that it is my favorite vehicle i have owned. i would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fullsize pickup

I was looking for a stick shift 4X4 Pick Up and finally found one of the last factory equipped 1500's with the small 4.8l V8. The truck has not been flawless, but then I treat it like a truck and it behaves like a truck. Would not trade it in on anything except for maybe a brand new truck with a stick... so I would not trade it for anything

Good truck, no real problems. oh ya and she is retired now just sitting in the garage.
