2000 Chevrolet Malibu Reviews
| “Awesome Ex State Trooper Car” Reviewing:
2000 Used Chevrolet Malibu LS
its awesome. it goes fast. its all leather. nice performance. pretty good. much torque. it goes decently fast compared to most medium sports cars, beats 1999 mustang gt auto tranny. i have an auto tranny, its pretty good to drive, decent acceleration, lots of power, faster than the impala no matter what they tell you
Pros —
super charged v6
Cons —
hard to find tires

| “Decent Sized And Verstaile Car For The Money” Reviewing:
2000 Used Chevrolet Malibu LS
The car accelerate pretty quick with AC running. The car still holds its self while pulling a 1,000 lb trailer with stuff in AND on top the car (~18 MPG on highway), you pay more at the gas pump and new rear struts. The main problem I had was leaking intake manifold gaskets, did the work myself and chose the Fel Pro Permadry brand. Most of the time it holds in one piece and has not spent much time in the shop, expect for a recall, brake and tire service. Decent size trunk and interior space, though I wish I had more trunk space and rear legroom with seat moved back. Highest MPG obtained was 31 MPG.
Pros —
BIG Trunk, decent fuel economy with V6 engine and 4 speed automatic
Cons —
leaking intake manifold gasket, not as easy to service

2000 Used Chevrolet Malibu LS
Overall this is a pretty good car. My only major complaints are that the cooling system and brake rotors have consistantly been a problem on this car. In the 4 years I have owned it it has been in the garage about once every 6 months. Good value for the money overall.
Pros —
loaded with features for low price, roomy interior and trunk, decent power
Cons —
cooling system and brakes have consistantly had problems, relatively small gas tank

| “Great All Around Versatility With Decent Fuel Economy” Reviewing:
2000 Used Chevrolet Malibu LS
Great all around versatility with decent fuel economy Pretty good replacement for the Chevrolet Corsica. Aerodynamic styling with rain gutter features so water does not drip when opening the door. The side mirrors are reflexible, if in case it is hit by a pole, it springs back to position. All 1997 - 2003 Chevrolet Malibu comes standard with ABS. The car is a decent size and have convenient features on a budget.
Pros —
decent acceleration and fuel economy, big rear split fold opening size and trunk space
Cons —
leaking intake manifold gaskets, burnt out blower motor resistor block,

Pretty good replacement for the Chevrolet Corsica that it replaces.
Pros —
decent rear split fold opening size and trunk space
great power and acceleration with reasonable fuel economy handles cornering pretty good with some body leans (notice even better with Goodyear Eagle GT HR tires)
Cons —
3.1L V6 had a technical service bulletin for leaking intake manifold gaskets
Wish it had more leg room when the front seats are moved back Transmission does not have a dipstick - more difficult to check fluid level Not as mechanic friendly under the hood, especially with 3.1 L V6 |
| “I Miss My Car...” Reviewing:
2000 Used Chevrolet Malibu LS
I loved this car. Many great memories with this vehicle. I wish the lady didn't total my car.
Pros —
This was an awesome car! I got it used from a dealership. It had a spoiler, tinted windows and a kick-ass stock sound system!
Cons —
I didn't get it with a sunroof. :(

| “Good Daily Driver Car” Reviewing:
2000 Used Chevrolet Malibu Base
Liked this car alot. It was a good, economical car. Had a V6 and still had decent MPG. Started to show it's age though at 60K miles. Very poor trade in value. Changing wheels from stock improved handling significantly.
Pros —
Low cost
Economical
Cons —
Poor trade in value.

| “2000 Chevy Malibu” It's ok. A number of problems w/ it since November ... when I got it. NOW, my radio died.. just shut itself off and won't turn back on. No clock, no lights, no nothing. Have no idea why.
Pros —
it drives... gets me where i need/want to go.
Cons —
Not my top choice for cars to drive, but its what i have.
