2001 Used Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Cab SB
Little weak on the acceleration but otherwise a great truck. Has stood the test of time. Just starting to bubble rust on the rear wheel wells which isn't a surprise and very repairable. Would be nicer with some way to organize the backseat as opposed to everything just rolling around.

Great truck. Tons of power thanks to the 327 v8, lots of stopping power from the 4 wheel discs. Good handling for a truck, has seen many high speed romps through country roads. Will burn the tires from first till third gear. When chevy says built like a rock, they really mean it. Tough as nails.

It is simply a great truck. I have the 4.3L v6 so I get about 18-20 mpg, which is good for a truck. It also has plenty of power. I'll probably own it until it completely dies on me.
Pros —
The paint color (charcoal grey metallic) and the sound system.
Cons —
Gets 18 mpgs in town but still lower than most cars.

Dad's truck. Ton of power. Needs less problems. Snow is an issue due to only being 2WD. Very comfortable ride. Not very gas efficient. Pretty much only good for a work truck or 2nd vehicle.

Strong Vortec 5.3L V-8 300bhp with overdrive and LSD. Good handling. Responsive and torqy on the freeway. Durable tray. Good storage space in cabin. Practical suicide doors. Plush interior. Plenty of accessory sockets. Speed limited to 160k/h. Good use more ground clearance under the nose.

i love the silverado line, period. i think 99-02 was the most stylish era, as is blended all the things you'd expect in a truck, and a few things you may not, such as a carlike ride.

This is a well-built truck. It has a nice interior, performance, and look. Personally, this is my favorite Silverado style. It is also alright on gas for a truck(5.3L), but isn't like a car's. My only complant is that it does not shift too smoothly into second.
