  It has been in and out of the shop ever since I got it. Obviously I'm not expecting a fantastic car or anything, but it is awful. Horrible acceleration, have had the brakes changed twice in two years, it's always talking back to me, and it just isn't an enjoyable ride. However, gas mileage is fantastic.... which is the only reason I haven't barreled it into the side of a wall at this point.
Pros:
Good gas mileage
Cons:
...Everything else.

my wife bought this new in 2001. it's been very reliable, and it gets about 37 mpg freeway. so that's good, since we do a bit of driving. it's got a bit of pep for a wimpy 4-cylinder. not flashy. very practical and boring.

great gas mileage (~37 mpg)

it's a chevy prism
