Rest in peace buddy... My first car and the car I learned how to drive in.  It was defective and broke down at least 3 times a month.  I called it Negative Nixon.  When it worked it was amazing.  When it didn't.... well at least it looked good sitting in the garage.  hahahaha.  I had some great memories in that car.  I'd still have it, but in late 2007 some jackass ran a red light and totalled it out.  

2001 Used Chevrolet Malibu LS: Reliable car I knew going with a Chevy would be a wise decision. Minus the minor mechanical problems, I am very happy with this car.

2001 Used Chevrolet Malibu Base: UGLY. OVER PRICED. AMERICAN BUILT POS! The smaller of Chevrolet's two midsize sedans slots below Impala in size, price, and market position. Malibu offers base and LS models, both with a V6, automatic transmission, and ABS. Impala can seat six; Malibu has front bucket seats for 5-passenger capacity. For 2001, power door locks and a rear defogger are now standard on the base model as well as the LS.

Air conditiong controls are failing at 70K Electrical functions in the dash seem to be a week link on this model.
Similar problems I had on  a Lumina owned before the Malibu.
