2001 Chevrolet Blazer Reviews
| “Great Vehicle” Reviewing:
2001 Used Chevrolet Blazer 4 Dr LT 4WD SUV
It has a lot of power for only being a 4.3L V6. I get over 20 mpg which makes me happy, especialy when I go offroading on the weekends. Which leads me to the point of it riding fairly low. This really shows when I am going through really beat up trails.
Pros —
suprising amount of power from 4.3L vortec
Cons —
I Wish chevy would have made a 4dr ZR2

one of the smoothest rides i have ever ridden in. it has a crazy stero system a JVC stero and Bose speakers. it is built strong and wont fall apart for years. and its a four wheel drive which is unusal for a s-10 blazer. its got Pro comp all terrain tires and gets about 17 miles to the gallon
Pros —
good all around vehicale
Cons —
non

| “01 Chevy Blazer” Reviewing:
2001 Used Chevrolet Blazer 4 Dr LT 4WD SUV
i drove the blazer before i got my new car and it was pretty sweet. as far as performance goes, it ran very well, it had good pick-up for and suv, it also had 4wd so it was impossible to ever get stuck. it was build okay, the back seats and kinda small. it looked okay i would have rather it be 2 door so it looked sweet but whatever, the only problem was the gas milage (15 mpg) = about $80 a week. it was fun to drive because it had good handling and you could drift very easialy
Pros —
Ran well, went fast, very functional
Cons —
terrible on gas

2001 Used Chevrolet Blazer 4 Dr LT 4WD SUV
Four Wheel Drive is the best I have ever owned. The size vs. Economy is great. I can tow just about anything I need with the 4.3L and still get 20MPG on the HWY (not towing). The bad side is the acceleration is pretty pathetic, and the same ergonomics chevrolet is always critisized of. You would think Chevrolet could some day get their power windows right after 10 years of premature failure. Great car 0-100,000 miles, then sell, sell, sell!
Pros —
Enough Space and great 4X4
Cons —
Reliability after 100K

2001 Used Chevrolet Blazer 2 Dr LS 4WD SUV
Car ran well for the first 140k, then everything started to go, but the ride is fantastic, and it eats snow for breakfast! Over the past year, I had to replace the oil pump, 3 bearings (not cheap!), and the radiator. Overall, I'm pleased.
Pros —
handles well, great 4x4
Cons —
Chevy engineered the parts so that they're expensive to replace.

This truck is just too easy. From full push button controls to the 185 horsepower engine.. it's a very girly truck for a guy like me.. I like my S10s that haul ass at 290 horsepower.. and the new 185hp 262ci. 4.3L V6 is just pathetic compared to the old 250 hp 262. It just can't compete.
Pros —
Simple and easy to drive
Cons —
I have a list that goes on forever.. however they're all personal preferances.
weak sunshells in the transmission. |
