2001 Chevrolet Blazer Reviews
“Decent Ride, Like The 4wd”
overall good auto, steering is a little loose, like the pushbutton 4wd but hate the mileage
“Reliable”
Easy to handle
We recently purchased a used 2001 LS Blazer with 111,900 miles on it. We were skeptical at first and antisipated repairs early on, but we haven't had any issues with it at all. My husband loves it. It's sporty looking and does everything he needs it to. The previous owner had frequent oil, lube and suspention checks done on it and it has paid off for this vehicle. We love the sun roof and it has plenty of get up and go. I read where a guy was upset that at 120,000 miles he had to change the ball joints on his. We had to change the ball joints on our Dodge Dakota pick up at 67,000 miles. 120 thousand...not BAD! I'm sure something sooner or later will happen...that's with any vehicle. There's alot to say about taking care of them and having rutine maintenance done. We love ours!
“80k Miles And First Initial Transmission Problems.”
Chevy fixed window motors, break light issue. I rarely use the 4 wd.
Pulled trailer cross-country no problems.
Leaks oil around transmission case below. No one can give answewr why?
“An Excellent Overall Vehicle Experience.”
I purchased this vehicle new and have had very few problems in the past five years. I have one more payment and it's actually mine. With over 100,000 miles and regular service calls, I expect to keep driving it for many more years. It still looks new. It's never required major service attention and I'm only on my second set of tires. I also have an import SUV that is similar to the Blazer...however, it can't compare to quality and performance. The only negative is the 17/20 mpg. But I'm not complaining.
