| “Fun Car To Drive” Reviewing:
2008 MINI Cooper Clubman S
Very good performance while getting 30+ MPG. Fun to drive. I love the bluetooth option, the AUX audio input and the keyless entry. The Mini Clubman S is very fun to drive and just big enough for my family of four (boys of 8 & 5). Negatives include a slightly noisy interior and firm ride (expected with sporty nature). I get lots of GAWKs too :)
Pros —
Performance, Gas Mileage
Cons —
Noisy Interior, Firm Ride

| “Small Car, Large Fun” Reviewing:
2008 MINI Cooper Clubman Base
It seems fitting that the Mini Cooper, a British hatchback that's more fun to drive than any 37-mpg car deserves to be, would get a stretched Clubman sibling with a third door and kookier rear-end styling. The extra length allows two medium-sized adults and a few grocery bags to fit in back, but it doesn't exactly bring the automaker to the forefront of small-hatchback roominess ââ¬â it's still small, just no longer unbearably so. Other changes are minimal. All the regular Cooper's quirks remain, for better or worse, so if you're a Mini fan who needs some extra trunk for your junk, the Clubman might be just the thing for you.
Pros —
Precise handling, Strong brakes, Adult-friendly backseat, Virtually unlimited customizations, Standard stability system, Gas mileage
Cons —
Spotty interior quality, Some controls inconveniently located, Not as much cargo room as some competitors, Premium gas recommended, Gets pricey with options, Wider turning circle than Cooper

| “Great Gas Millage!” Reviewing:
2008 MINI Cooper Clubman S
More room, more doors, still cuddly! |
| “Better Than Expected” Reviewing:
2008 MINI Cooper Clubman S
More practical than the British media suggest. Suicide door practical if the driver is usually the only passenger and allows access to putting things on the back seat. Good handling and performance as an urban car, but the Cooper S sensibility emerges when the Sport mode is switched on. Not the most generous equipment level.
Pros —
Practicality, good around town, performance
Cons —
Divisive looks, chassis could handle more horsepower

| “Fun And Economical” Picked up the car in MN, then drove it home to Las Vegas. I averaged 39 mpg and 64 mph on the trip.
Pros —
Stingy gas sipper
Cons —
None!

Cons —

| “It's Small...it's Fast...it's A Racing Machine!!!” Four wheels. Horsepower numbers you can count on your fingers. One gear. Simply awesome in the turns, if a little unforgiving on the bumps.
Pros —
Handling, fuel consumption.
Cons —
A little low to the ground.
