2003 Chevrolet Malibu Reviews
“Nice, Basic Sedan”
Handles wonderfully, with little effort, doesn't feel like 4,000 lbs. Comfortable, modern interior, intuitive controls.
“Very Reliable, But Not To Comfortable”
The most uncomfortable car I have ever owned, but with only one car in the fam, my wife drove it most of the miles, it has been a very reliable car, and the things that broke were covered under the extended warranty. I have put 85K+ on in 4 years, and it has been good on gas with Avg. MPG between 23-29 with mixed driving, and my wife's lead foot.
I love my car. Sure its not the best car on the road, but i still love it.
“Your Basic V6 Front-wheel Drive Sedan; Don't Expect Much.”
These cars are everywhere. This body style of Malibu is almost more common than Civics in my area. It'll stick corners about as good as any small sedan will, and the acceleration isn't shabby. I find it abnormally quiet, as to where you almost need the large, analog tachometer to know it's running. The styling isn't bad, but it is too common to be memorable. The interior works, but could use improvement.
“This Is A Pretty Good Car,it Has Just Enough Good Looks And It Takes You Where You Need To Go.”
The Chevy Malibu was made for economic purposes, not for looks. This body style first showed up in the line in 1997 and then later changed in 2004. It's a little box shaped, and it is a high-tail vehicle, but it's a car with just enough good looks for yourself to be able to drive in public without feeling embarrased.
I and my mother have owned a 2003 Malibu for about three years and it's been doing pretty good...on account it was used when we got and it has over 100,000 miles on it. It has good acceleration, smooth ride, good sized passenger room, and a good sized trunk. We drive it to Greenville and Spartanburg almost every day and it does great except for the crazy drivers on the highway. I would recommend this car to a friend that's going to college, or a friend that would just use it for everyday errands because of it's good fuel economy, and it's quite safe. It does have a few Cons, but it will do.
