My Escape has only 7,000 miles on it and the seats are staining. If they get any raindrops or any kind of water on them they leave a stain. My advice is to buy one with leather seats. I have read that this is a very common problem with these seats. For what I paid for this vehicle the darned seats should not stain. Come on Ford dont force me to buy Japanese. I am the only person who rides in this SUV and it is kept spotless yet the seats stain. Who can figure. Cheap material??

The V6 engine is a strong accelerator. Handals well. Never needed repair. The new styling is better than the previous model. It gets great gas milage, usually 22 MPG. It is a fun suv to drive if a bigger one is out of reach.
Pros:
If you want an economical suv.
Cons:
If you don't like a bouncier ride.

One of the best selling compact sport utility vehicles gets a face and interior lift - Ford calls it aerodynamic. The '08 Escape offers two gasoline power-train configurations: a 153-hp, 2.3-liter four cylinder or a 200-hp, 3.0-liter V6, both linked to a four-speed automatic transmission. The 2008 Escape includes front and side airbags with side-curtain airbags covering both rows. Completing the safety equipment is the AdvanceTrac stability control system with anti-rollover technology. The interior is the focus for change. Ford has made an across-the-line brand change with the switch to Ice Blue interior lighting. A new information display features exterior temperature, radio functions, and climate-control readouts on the top section of the dashboard. The capacity of the center console storage is impressive - it can hold a laptop computer. It features three levels of storage with two removable bins, which further expand storage capacity. Ford tops off the '08 Escape with a changed roof design that integrates insulating materials to make, according to Ford, a significantly quieter cabin.

I LOVE THE WAY IT DRIVES. IT'S VERY COMFORTABLE TO RIDE IN. THE GAS MILAGE IS ALSO DOOD. AND THE LEATHER SEATS AR COMFORTABLE. IT IS A GREAT CAR FOR A ROAD TRIP. THE CONS ARE THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH STICK OUT TO FAR WHEN ENTERING THE CAR, IT CUTS INTO YOU SHIN EVERY TIME YOU ENTERING THE VEHICLE.

DRIVES WELL AND GOOD ON GAS

It starts faster than anyone, stops very nicely, and has an amazing turning radius. Its not top heavy. Its big enough for my soccer, horseback riding, and tennis gear but small enough to fit itno almost any parking spot. My dad's lincold MKZ is a bigger car but this one is way more fun to drive!

Overall good, good ride with minimal bumps. Great addition with the GPS. could use a better engine because it can only reach a maximum speed of 90. good MGP rating. good caban space for transporting things. overall a fun car to drive. could be helpful for the break petal and gas petal to be the same level.

good MGP, excelent GPS.

Better Engine, difference between break adn gas pedal.

My Escape is sporty,has zip & I look DAM cute driving it!!! It's also a color that you don't see much "Vista Blue" which makes me even happier! I has fold down rear seats wich are great when you need the extra space for... whatever!! The 6 disc CD changer is killer. My Escape Rocks!

I love everything about it!!! It is cute and it gets pretty good gas milage and what the hell its a FORD right??? It is kinda expensive but whatever and it hasn't needed anything done to it but it is still under warrenty.
Pros:
Its nice to look at, drives nice a smooth and it really good in the snow.
Cons:
Its an SUV and it gets ok milage but not great....waht are you gonna do?
