2008 BMW M3 Reviews

BMW has strived in the automotive industry as being capable of pulling off great coupes cabrios and sedans. The brand new M3 is some of their best work yet. I must mention that it is one of the best sounding cars on the planet. The performance is great and this car is one of the best bangs for the buck on the market.

Fuel consumption is crap - getting an average of 18.5mpg but hopefully this will improve when I stop thrashing it. It is quicker than the previous M3 which I had prior to this model and the V8 sounds good at high revs. Only done 5500 miles so far so not had a service yet so not sure on running costs but I expext them to be high.

Performance - It's an M, you know what that means.
Build Quality - Build very well, strong welds, no
squeaks or noises.
Appearance - Gorgeous body lines, Fat rear tires
with wide body, M badges, and nice colors.
Cost of Ownership, 14/20 MPG is pretty lacking but
that's the price of performance. Financing is quite
expensive as is insurance but the utility gained
from ownership makes it ok.

Fun Factor - Unmatched. 414HP, 0-60 in 4.1...
Manual Transmission. Lovely!

love it and you totally have to its a BMW M3 its so fast and you can modify the performence by a push of a button you can change it to sport tunned or just leave it the way BMW has it which is totally perfect and if you don't like then don't look at it cause i love it

Of course, the sound and fury of that 414-hp V8 is a big part of the newest M3's engaging personality, and nobody is going to complain about the car's 12.7-second quarter-mile time. And the 2008 M3 still does itself proud when it's time to turn the wheel, as it'll run through a set of twisties like a border collie through the weave poles at a dog agility competition. But drive the new M3 back to back against the previous version and you'll notice something has gone amiss in regard to the level of communication between the driver and the road surface. The car's steering is quick and laser-beam precise, but it lacks the intuitive feel for which older M3s are so well knownApart from that one minor criticism, the 2008 BMW M3 is hard to fault if you truly enjoy driving -- it goes, stops and steers like a sports car while delivering a respectable measure of functionality, especially if you choose the sedan version. Of course, the same could also be said of the M3's stout competitors, namely Audi's S5 coupe and RS4 sedan and Mercedes-Benz's C63 sedan.
