I drove the GL450 to S.F. few weeks ago and it performed very well. Kids love the DVD player and drives my wife crazy because she can't see what's going with the movie. Only one thing bugs me about this truck. Storage space is very limited. However, I love the bluetooth, power and seat comfort. It cost $100 every time I fill it up but my fault for buying a SUV.

Big SUV, Big engine, Big Stomach. Very good for big family.
Pros:
Horse Power, seat 7's, easy in & out 3rd row, power everything, air adjustable shocks Great ride comfort.
Cons:
Drink too much, bluetooth is option, brake squeeze after 5000 miles, high maintenance cost

Great SUV.
Pros:
Dual screen DVD for kids. Big engine. Safe.
Cons:
Loves gas (14 mpg); with 2 child seats in middle row hard to fit another person (cant easliy get to 3rd row with these seats in the way).

We've owned 2 Denali XL's and 2 Escalades in the past and, although we we quite pleased with them, we wanted something new. When I drove the GL and confimed the 0-60 times, I was sold. It smokes the 403hp Cady and just about anything else (with the exception of my Grand Cherokee SRT8). It goes and it tows! Our 6000lb boat was not problem, in fact this truck is a sleeper when it come to towing. The back up camera really helps finding the hitch. The ride, response, braking and room all make for great daily commutes as well as long trips to the Keys. This is the best value in full sized SUV's and with all MB's safety gear and performance, it'll win you over.
Pros:
0-60 in 6 something... Rides like big MB sedan. Handles like roadster.
Cons:
Needs more impressive wheel tire combo. I optioned for the 19's but the 20's were only availble on a very limited production model. MB being assholes, again. That "attitude" sent me away from their sports cars.
