2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx Reviews

This is a good solid car with a good balance of qualities. The hatchback gives it a lot of utility, as well as a definite styling advantage over the sedan. Although the engine dates back to GM's 1980 X-Cars, and sounds a little coarse, it's eager and willing delivering sharp performance with outstanding gas mileage - I average over 30 on the highway and have seen as high as 36.7 on a 444 mile trip. The car is well sized, and its dimensions help deliver spritely handling from its lightly weighted variable electronic power assist steering system. The interior offers a nice two-toned appearance from the beige/brown/woodgrain color package - far "warmer" than the grey color package, though could use more storage options - especially in the cargo bay. The seats are very supportive and offer driver lumbar adjustment standard. The air conditioning is a little weak for a car with so much window area on days over 90 degrees. The rear seat slides is split adjustable with slide and recline functions and a fold down armrest. The auto transmission engages smoothly, and has a manumatic feature that really helps in decelerating, or commanding a prompt downshift. Very firm brakes from the four wheel disc system with antilock, they provide a highly linear feel without the "air brakes" affect some cars give when pressing the brake pedal. The audio system includes a comprehensive trip computer and offers  extremely good sound for a stock factory system with good bass response, and distortion free treble, however the CD player does not read MP3s, and the system could use a few extra watts of power, and the speakers sometimes audibly "crackle" with too much bass.

it it a great overall car everything is good. no problems.
it is electric so handling is really smooth. there is not much to say about bad things. this car is very fun to drive it will surprise you in many ways.

Very quick and agile family performance sedan/wagon/crossover. Appearance can be a factor to most people. But the performance is surely nothing to not want, it has a fearful 3.5L rated at 200HP and 220ft/lbs of torque.  Over all it is a real fun car to drive and its very fast.

Not bad, but not euro or AWD

From the first day i owned this car, it started falling apart. The seats stain if you breathe on them. Has the worst cd player ever. All of the computer control goes through the radio display so you cant replace the cd player with one that actually works. An Abortion of a car.
