2007 Saturn VUE Reviews
| “The Perfect Suv For These Times!” Reviewing:
2007 Saturn VUE Base Auto
Our first new Saturn, our white 2007 VUE is everything we need and more. My wife and I chose the VUE as the compromise between a Saturn Relay van and an AURA sedan. It turned out being an excellent choice. She mostly drives it to work, however, it's the vehicle of choice for out-of-town trips. It has plenty of rear seat leg room and has plenty of space in the back for all our gear and luggage. We have not used it for transporting extra large loads (yet!). Currently at 14,000 miles, we've had it for exactly one year today and are very happy owners. What do we love about our '07 Saturn VUE? First of all, it's a very roomy compact SUV. We own the 2.2 liter four cylinder model with automatic transmission. Gas mileage is at 22-city and 27-highway. We also enjoy the neat pop-up container in the wagon area that holds groceries, the cold air conditioner (needed in South Texas), the composite body panels (last model year with these), the OnStar system, the standard amenities (power everything, a CD/MP3 player, cruise control), and that it's made in the good ol' USA. The only thing we don't like about it is that the audio system is satellite radio ready, and it has been hard (and expensive) to get the necessary components to get satellite radio through the factory audio system. Had I known satellite radio was going to be offered as standard equipment in the '08 VUE, I just might have waited a few months to buy. However, we got our '07 VUE with a 0% financing; that was the clincher. The other thing I'm not comfortable with is the engine and transmission combination; at times the VUE feels rather underpowered under full throttle. However, we can live with that in the name of excellent fuel economy in these days of $4.00/gallon gasoline.
Pros —
Excellent fuel economy, great interior room, the many standard amenities, OnStar, composite body panels, easy to maintain, inexpensive parts.
Cons —
Feels underpowered at times, OEM radio is satellite ready, but hard and expensive to set up as an after market system to work through factory radio.

| “Not The Bet Hybrid Out There” Reviewing:
2007 Saturn VUE Green Line
Saturn (GMC in general) is trying hard to enter the "green" market, but they're just not quite there. Have had the hybrid batteries replaced twice now and received another recall notice for more work. Initially, only got 16 MPG. Now up to 25 MPG with replacement batteries.
Pros —
Saturn service is excellent, roomy, gas milage
Cons —
1st year hybrid, MPG not worth extra $$
