2006 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx Reviews

Well I can't commend GM on their super brake jobs... Got this thing pre-owned certified at 30k miles, was probably a rental car previously as most malibus are. 10k later had to redo my brake pads and rotors.  Despite brake issues, they are very responsive.  I got this thing because it had a 3.5 liter v6, close to 220HP, carried a lot of cargo with the seats down and being a larger sized hatchback (wouldn't consider it a wagon at all though), which I need being a musician, and was good on gas to drive over 400 miles a week with going to school in danbury.  It's fun to drive and when you punch it, you really can feel the power and it handles surprisingly well.  It has no problem passing other vehicles on the highway or gaining speed, and I'd say accelerations even better on this thing than my parents 2008 Impala LS, which has roughly the same GM 3500 engine. It's 22mpg city/30mpg highway...  my driving habits are getting me about 21 mpg right now, so ouch...  Car looks great from the front, but when I see others on the road I'm like "wtf was I thinking"...  I'll ride this thing out til I can afford a used camaro!  Probably aint happening.  Remote start on this thing's a plus!  I paid too much for this car though in my opinion, but haven't had any problems with it so far other than typical GM brake issues.  I'm not a prick, but if you throw me a 40k car I'll find something to complain about it, guaranteed.  Probably the most leg room I've seen in a vehicle in the rear passenger seat.  

Fun Car , very roomy . Had several recalls with steering shaft . Nice leather trim , moon roof front and rear . Solid sound system and speakers for stock . Good family car with a sporty feel .
