1985 Nissan 300ZX Reviews
| “My Dream Car” This was my dream car. It handled like it was on rails. Pick up off the mark was instantanious. Had boosting power like nothing else. Was reasonably inexpensive to run. This baby was an adrenilin pumping ride and drifted nicely round corners. All was good till someone smashed into it failing to give way. SUX. I loved that car
Pros —
Smooth ride
Cons —

| “A Great Buy” I love everything about it. It's flashy, super fast, super luxurious, and with my performance mods, can blow the doors off anything in this town. All of my friends know my car and I'm able to turn heads everywhere I go. The issue is, the police also know my car and makes it so i have to be extra cautious. Overall, it's a dream come true.
Pros —
A fast, reliable, good looking car straight from the box.
Cons —
If you aren't careful, or live in my climate, rust is a problem with them.

| “Z31 Nissan 300zx” Still in project phase. Will be able to tell allot more once I fix the tranny issue and give it a major tune up. If its anything like my previous Zs then it should be a blast. Acceleration and handling are well enough given these cars age(turbo models such as mine have adjustable suspension), however the braking could definately use some work. I have smoked the pads on several occasions in these cars so I am opting for brake upgrades, using larger rotors and callipers from a Z32 model. The quality of these cars are not bad, however you must keep in mind that this is a 23 year old car. Some things are going to break now and then, as they would on any car this old. Be prepared to do a little electrical troubleshooting as these cars were far advanced for their time. Many options in the Z31 300ZXs are just now starting to become standard features in todays automobiles. In essence... what I am saying is that there is allot of room for malfunction when it comes to electrical in these cars. If you can not handle electrical troubleshooting, then dont buy one! I for one love these cars, and even more so love to drive them. More so the turbo models that boast an extra 40hp, and suspension that can be adjusted with the flick of a switch from within the cab. You really must have a great appreciation for these cars if you are going to own one. If you are looking to drift, drag, autocross, or whatever, go buy a Civic or 240SX like everyone else. Im not knocking these cars, but the parts are far more plentifull, and a hell of allot cheaper. The Z31 300ZXs can be tuned to produce respectable amounts of horsepower and torque, but its going to cost you much more money, and locating the parts can be a pain since many of them are no longer manufactured and can only be found on forums and local swap meets.
Pros —
Far advanced for their time. Decent power/weight ratio. great handling with adjustable suspension, FUN car to drive.
Cons —
Can sometimes be an electrical nightmare, parts sometimes hard to find, some parts more expensive than newer vehicles.

Pros —

Cons —

| “1985 Nissan 300zx Turbo Gll”
The leaky T-Tops. |
| “300zx Na” Still runs strong after 220K, handles good, but needs a little more power.... |
| “Miyoko-a Generation's Beautiful Child.” I bought her with a bad motor, and yanked out the auto trans, and dropped in a turbo motor and 5 speed.
Pros —
The noises she makes.
Cons —
No heat, stereo, and the transmission is broke at the moment...

| “The Most Power For The Money. No Questions Asked.” This was the fastest and best running $1500 car I think I will ever have. This car never ceased to impress me, and I still miss that boost coming on and slamming me back into the seat.
Pros —
Great power, reasonable price, and good looks.
Cons —
Drank gas like a pickup truck!
|
| “Just An All Together Amazing Car.” The only thing that can make this kind of car bad is the ownership, which right now isn't bad. And my car works really well.
Pros —
The shifter works really well it, doesn't stick. Has a beautiful purr.
Cons —
My ac on the other hand sucks. And a lot of these cars leak easily in the window area.
