Fun, simple, classic...would buy one again
This was a bit of an interim car I had a few months prior to going traveling having sold my
previous car. It was cheap, ran well and even when it had a small gas-line leak, it cost $15 to
fix. Gotta love that! I love my direct-steering, manual pedals and simple
transmissions...makes you much more connected to the road. The Bug is good for that, as
was my 60's Mini.

Pros: Simple, cheap, fun and cute
Cons: Not awesome handling, a bit rusty and smelly, slow on highway

IT WAS A 412!!!
It was fun and came with a fire extinguisher in the cab. It was original and no one else had one.
Pros: It ran for a while....
Cons: It had to be put to rest....
A cracking set of wheels
I love Beetles, and the one I had was a classic. It was Orange and was the first model with the larger Tail Lights. It was indestructable and I can assure you that I made every effort to destroy it. It was a great car.
Pros: Air cooled rear engine
Cons: 2 Doors
The second love of my life
restored to show quality with rims, lowered front end and rebuilt engine.
Pros: got looks everywhere I went :)
Cons: no power brakes, no power steering, no heat, no A/C, should I go on??
Great car, but don't ask for safety features
The bug that we own is a beut. One of only a couple thousand made, this one was born in 1974, and has a rounded front windshield, a sunroof, and a gold paintjob (which I guess was special for the time). I'll get more info up soon, but yeah.
Pros: Good looking, great for any terrain (not offroading, but it can go on ice cause it's a RWD and the engine is in the back), lasts FOREVER (no joke)
Cons: totally un-death proof
