The E500 and earlier 500E are a piece of automotive history that I doubt we'll ever see again. A collaboration of two German giants, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, hand-building what at that time was the most powerful production sedan in the world. The cost of doing something like that in today's platform-based production would make it cost prohibitive. Nevertheless, it was a unique opportunity to have owned one. This particular car had fairly high miles and not the best example having come from the midwest, but still a kick in the ass to drive.
