Kool car. Big wagon. Makes me happy to own one.

Safe enough for your family s transportation, strong enough to race with BMW s.
Cons —
Secondary air pump is a problem.

| “Awesome Sport Wagon, Questionable Build Quality” Reviewing:
1998 Used Volvo V70 4 Dr XC Turbo AWD Wagon
I'd imagine these cars are NOT for people who drive cars that are 10 years old. Probably best as brand new, dealer-maintained cars. Although I love the acceleration, braking and handling, and overall highway comfort at crusing speeds, this car breaks alot. I've had to do multiple repair jobs on tons of secondary components (A/C, Door Controls, Emmissions Systems) but the drivetrain has been solid. Parts are hard to get, expensive, and difficult to install. Not a great car to work on.
Pros —
Awesome handling, ride at highway speeds
Cons —
Breaks down, expensive and tough to fix

| “Classic Iconic Image Of Soccer Mom Vehicle”
The naturally aspirated 5-cylinder engine is the lowest trim line available on the V70s. Standard features include power windows/ door locks, ABS, FWD, keyless entry, and the softest fabric seats ever. The CD player was an add-on option.
Pros —
Reliable platform to support just about any kind of life style.
Cons —
NA offers little power and no AWD.

| “Comfortable And Practical” A very smooth and quiet car, you can fit a whole mass of things in it, or transport 4 or 5 adults in fairly luxurious style! Very nice 5 cylinder engines, but long gear ratios mean relaxed cruising at the expense of acceleration. Brakes are awesome, it's not so keen on the corners especially at low speed, quite stable at high speed cornering though.
Pros —
Huge, comfortable, all the toys, 94000 miles and only one fault so far
Cons —
A bit sluggish sometimes, less than stellar cornering, common fault with air con means mine has packed up. A little thirsty but good for its size.

1998 Used Volvo V70 4 Dr GLT Turbo Wagon
We have a little over 100000 miles now and my wife and I still enjoy the car. Dreading when the time comes to replace it. We have had absolutely no problems in the last eight years. Last month some one ran into our driver side door and did rather minor damage, but this week we can no longer open the gas cap cover. shouldn't there be an emergency fix? |

we've had the car for almost ten years and it still runs and looks great!
Cons —
sometimes it is hard to see out the rear side windows to change lanes
