| “Making The Hatchback Cool Again!!!” Reviewing:
1994 Used Volkswagen Golf 4 Dr GL Hatchback
Overall the best platform Vw has ever built. Power is not impressive but still fun to drive. Has the 2.0L 8V I-4 that is almost indestructible and is very cheap and easy to maintain. This is the perfect car for any car enthusiast. Takes corners beautifully and can stop itself pretty well for the 10.1" braking system. Space inside the car is by no means spacious but it is comfortable. All guages are lit in a factory green glow and are easily read. Cargo room is there but not a great deal of it in the hatch, but the back seat folds down easily to make the extra room. You will be amazed at how much you can stuff in there.
Pros —
Great get up and go, smooth and short shifting. Gas mileage from 25mpg in town to 32mpg freeway.
Cons —
Ac works but never blows insanely cold, the beaver and tan interior colors are very difficult to keep clean

will as u can see the car isnt finished yet, i bought it 2 years ago, swap a manual tranny in it , a good running 2L. after that striped it got it painted n some things shaved, after swaped in a vr6, n seens last winter the car has been parked for its turbo builded up! this year its goin to be 3L vr6 turbo @ about 20-24psi. should get me somewhere in the 500hp:D

God would drive my car, its that good. Its good looking, its cheap, its got a stereo system 2 die for. looks good when little touches are done to it like blacking out the badges or changin the indicators, unlike a tin can, like a clio for example. When your cars done 120,000 miles come to me and we will see whos cars in better condition for the milage!!!

Mark III looked kind of retro. 1.9 TDi engine picked up pretty well, but not without the guy being being in a black cloud of smoke!
